Coaching Masterclass

Coaching masterclass is where you will learn through demonstration, observation, reflection, and appreciative feedback with others throughout the workshop. You will have several opportunities to practice, demonstrate, and to seek feedback so that you can prepare your final report 4 weeks after the course. In this module, you will conduct a live coaching dialogue to demonstrate your understanding and practice of the Solution Focused Brief Coaching. This highly participatory process promotes reflective evaluation method of solution-focused approaches and engages all participants as peer-mentors throughout the process.

Learning Outcomes

By the completion of this program, learners will have demonstrated the ability to:
Conduct brief coaching sessions using Solution-Focused techniques; 
Provide feedback to peers using the MasterClass competencies and the PlusDelta method; and 
Use the DOQ for deep listening and intentional responding.

Who can take this course?

Coaching Masterclass I is ideal for a diverse range of professionals, including people managers, learning and organizational development (OD) consultants, executive coaches, and freelance or independent consultants in workplace learning contexts. It's also beneficial for post-secondary professionals and HR and organizational development teams.

We recommend that participants have prior experience in the Solution-Focused Coaching method. 

How long will this course be?

The Masterclass sessions will be a comprehensive two-day experience, running from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day.

Will the course be conducted online or in-person?

The course will be conducted in person at CCBC's office in 47 Queen’s Park Crescent East, Toronto, Ontario M5S 2C3, providing an immersive learning environment that fosters interaction and collaboration among participants.

Dr. Haesun Moon

Haesun Moon, Ph.D., based in Toronto, is a Communication Scientist, Adult Educator, and Executive Director at the Canadian Centre for Brief Coaching. She developed the Dialogic Orientation Quadrant (DOQ) and teaches at the University of Toronto and Harvard-affiliated Institute of Coaching and is an acclaimed author and international speaker.
