This highly interactive module/workshop is for advanced professionals in the Solution-Focused practices so that they may supervise, train, and mentor other practitioners more effectively. This course offers the “flipped classroom” format to optimize the in-class time for hands-on applications and live-feedback. The course components are customizable to the group’s unique learning needs and focus.

Learning Outcomes

By the completion of this program, learners will have demonstrated the ability to:
Use the DOQ as a pedagogical device to guide supervision conversations in 1:1 as well as group conversations; 
Demonstrate a solid coaching session with a specific focus when identified as a learning need;
Demonstrate a training activity to teach a specific concept of Solution Focused Practice;
Practice designing their own exercises for teaching SF ways of responding and asking questions.

Who can take this course?

Trainers’ Masterclass is ideal for a diverse range of professionals who engage in supervising, mentoring, and training others in coaching methodologies:
• Coaching and Therapy Supervisors
• Mentors and Mentor Coaches
• Trainers who train Coaching

It is recommended that participants have prior experience (minimum five years) in training and supervising others to coach. It may not be suitable for novice coaching practitioners. 

How long will this course be?

The Masterclass sessions will be a comprehensive two-day experience, running from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM each day.

Will the course be conducted online or in-person?

The course will be conducted in person at CCBC's office in 47 Queen’s Park Crescent East, Toronto, Ontario M5S 2C3, providing an immersive learning environment that fosters interaction and collaboration among participants.

Dr. Haesun Moon

Haesun Moon, Ph.D., based in Toronto, is a Communication Scientist, Adult Educator, and Executive Director at the Canadian Centre for Brief Coaching. She developed the Dialogic Orientation Quadrant (DOQ) and teaches at the University of Toronto and Harvard-affiliated Institute of Coaching and is an acclaimed author and international speaker.
